Welcome to Our Lady of Dolours Catholic Primary School, Chatswood

Our Lady of Dolours School is located in Chatswood on Sydney’s
North Shore. It is a Primary School from Kindergarten to Year 6 for
both boys and girls. The
present enrolment is 320 students many of whom come from other countries. Our
average class size is 1 teacher to 26 children. We have well equipped classrooms
with an excellent range of learning resources.
Our school is an integral part of Chatswood Parish. Catholic beliefs,
values and traditions are taught in a formal religious education
program and are the guide for all we do throughout the school.
Our core task is education. Our teachers are highly qualified all
having gained Bachelor of Education degrees and many with Masters
of Education degrees. Teachers devote their classroom time to the
tasks of teaching and learning with an emphasis on developing skills
in Literacy and Numeracy.
Our school values the support of parents. Each has his or her unique
contribution to make: some special quality that can help build a
community that really cares for children.
We hope that together we build a sense of warmth and welcome as
we go about our work of helping our children to learn and to grow.
